We are working with over 10 schools over a range of subjects including English, Biology, Geography, Art, Drama and Business Studies. The Kingsway Business Park has reached a landmark in its development, with the completion of the A6193 Sir Isaac Newton Way. It is officially due to open to traffic on Sunday 2 December 2007. The Kingsway Partnership is marking the occasion by holding a Community Open Day on 1st December 2007. The main feature of the day will be guided coach tours along the new road which will be started with an official ribbon cutting ceremony. Back to top |

Under the terms of the planning permission for the business park, no access is allowed for contractors’ traffic to reach the site from the surrounding residential roads, (including Stiups Lane), unless otherwise agreed by the Council. Phase two of the development works on the site are due to start this week. Unfortunately, it has now become necessary for limited and temporary use to be made of Stiups Lane to form the proposed contractor’s site compound in connection with the works. The Kingsway Partnership has commissioned a 3 dimensional model of the Kingsway Business Park. The model is an incredible 2.1m x 2.4m in size and has been built to scale in line with the Kingsway Masterplan. It provides a clear image of how the business park is expected to look on completion, showing intricate detail and a splendid bird's eye view. Back to top |

Justin Jenkinson, 41, from Castleton, had been looking to get back in to employment for three months after a long period of being the full-time carer for a family member. After a meeting with Job Centre Plus, Justin was referred to Pat Ashtonhurst, Senior Outreach Adviser for the Kingsway Recruitment Team. Justin met with Pat who suggested completing a training course through the Kingsway Recruitment Team training grants. Back to top |

Development on Kingsway is moving forward with the first building constructions on Plot E being granted planning permission on 19 December 2006. Approval for this first application for build is a tremendous step forwards in the regeneration of Rochdale Borough and the wider region. Back to top |
